Industry pioneer joins Agency.com to lead West Coast operations
San Francisco — May 29, 2007 — Agency.com today announced the appointment of Jordan Warren to the role of President for the San Francisco office.
Warren (42) is an experienced leader and a recognized entrepreneur, having started and built the online marketing practice at CKS (which later became MarchFirst and is now part of Aquantive Avenue A/Razorfish) in 1994, and founding his own integrated marketing company, San Francisco-based Eleven (www.eleveninc.com) in 1999, serving as its President and CEO until 2006.
Warren led this 50-person, integrated marketing and communications agency, responsible for agency management, planning, operations, business development, client relations and marketing strategy. Clients Warren worked with at Eleven included Kodak, Disney, Microsoft, Shutterfly, Williams-Sonoma and San Francisco Tourism.
Warren left an 8-year marketing career at IBM in 1994 to become a digital marketing pioneer. While at CKS, he led interactive strategy and Web development leading to the first commercial Web sites for MCI, Visa, General Motors, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and the NBC Tonight Show. He also led the first direct to consumer e-commerce efforts for Levi’s.
In 1997 he became General Manager of CKS San Francisco where he was responsible for strategy and oversight for all online and offline marketing services for this integrated marketing communications office. Upon Steve Jobs’ return to Apple in 1997, CKS San Francisco was hired to help re-envision the Apple brand including the Apple identity, collateral, packaging, promotions, point-of-sale, in-store design, event marketing, Web site and interactive marketing, as well as supporting major product introductions such as the launch of the iMac.
Chan Suh, founder and CEO of Agency.com, commented: “Jordan’s entrepreneurial spirit and his background in integrated marketing are tremendously appealing qualities for an office leader. It is critical for our leaders to be fully versed in all fields of marketing, not just interactive. This makes their thinking stronger and smarter in finding interactive solutions that work well as part of a bigger, through the line, integrated marketing campaign.”
“I’ve been an evangelist for integrated marketing for over a dozen years,” said Warren. “With the expanding influence of digital media, it’s exciting to be returning to my roots and joining Agency.com, one of the digital marketing pioneers to help chart the role digital ideas will play in broadening and deepening brand experiences.”
